Chris Young

Former Executive Vice President of Business Development, Strategy and Ventures, Microsoft

Christopher Young is a technology executive and business leader who served as Executive Vice President of Business Development, Strategy and Ventures at Microsoft from 2020 to 2025. Earlier in his career, he co‑founded Cyveillance and led it as president through its early growth and acquisition. He subsequently held senior leadership roles at America Online, VMware, RSA Security and Cisco Systems, building and scaling cybersecurity and enterprise computing businesses. In 2014, Young was named CEO of McAfee where he engineered its spin‑out from Intel and grew the company to protect mission‑critical systems for two‑thirds of the Global 2000 and over 500 million consumers. Young serves on the board of American Express and has held board roles at Snap Inc., Rapid7 and the Cyber Threat Alliance. He holds an A.B. cum laude from Princeton and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
